Thank you for purchasing AudioDek.!

What is AudioDek.?

AudioDek is a PC periphery component that I've made to allow users to easily change the volume of windows applications and processes. This is particularly helpful for those playing games while using VoIP, listening to music or watching videos.

Where can I buy AudioDek.?

Currently AudioDek is only available to friends and family. I'd like to eventually sell the product however I need to consider the additional costs which come with that.

I've unboxed it, now what?

Please ensure that you have the latest version the AudioDek. software installed on your PC.

Plug the device into the USB port of your PC.

Running the application.

Run the AudioDek application as administrator. No window will appear however you will see the icon in the system tray. Right Click this to close the application, access the latest versions, view these instructions, change the performance level (see below) or configure the LEDs.

Controls.

By Default, the channel LEDs will turn on to signify that they are unassigned.

To assign a applications to a channel, open the application on your PC (such as discord or Google Chrome) and click on the window to focus the application. Hold the respective channel button for >2 seconds to assign this application to the channel. The channel LED will turn off (or on if the "Invert LEDs" setting is applied). AudioDek will remember your application choices for this channel even after turning off the device/application.

Turning the dial for the respective channel will set the volume of that application.

To mute a program, press the respective channel button. The channel LED will flash to indicate that it is muted.

To unassign all programs from a channel, hold the respective channel button for >8 seconds. The channel LED will turn on (or off if the 'Invert LEDs' setting is applied) to signify an unassigned channel

Performance.

This device uses a refresh rate to monitor changes in audio volume. You can change the performance mode via the system tray icon. The HIGH performance mode uses the fastest refresh rate meaning that it is more responsive to user input, however is slightly more CPU intensive. The LOW performance mode uses a slower refresh rate and is thus less responsive but much less CPU intensive. I advise you to open task manager and monitor the idle CPU usage of the AudioDek. software to see how much computational power is being drawn. This feature was implemented in a previous non-optimised version. With the latest versions it seems that this is no longer needed however I have continued to give you the option to use it.

LED Configuration.

To configure the LEDs, use the system tray icon. You can toggle the "Invert LEDs" feature if you would prefer assigned programs to be shown as a lit LED or vice versa. AudioDek will remember your choice. You can also set the brightness of the LEDs using this menu. To precisely set the LED brightness, please consult the 'channels.txt' settings file in the installation directory.

What is your preferred setup?

I personally prefer to have my browser, spotify and media player assigned to channel 1. Discord assigned to channel 2. And all games assigned to channel 3. Remember that multiple programs can be assigned to a single channel.
